This fly fishing adventure is a great way to experience the Sierra Nevada while trying your hand at catching all sorts of trout in the Tuolumne and Merced Rivers. Unlike most fly fishing intro courses, this course is focused on conservation and family fun – catch and release your trout with barbless hooks and learn more about the ecology of the river alongside your children. There are no hidden costs, either: all equipment is provided and all license fees are covered.
- Head out to the Yosemite Valley for either a morning or afternoon adventure
- Safety first with your experienced, Wilderness First Responder-trained guides
- Keep alert and hydrated while fishing with the provided snacks and water
- Don’t get lost on the way out to the Valley: hotel transfers are included
What To Expect
Tuolumne River
Get a taste of Yosemite fly fishing on local waters on this fun half-day adventure perfect for the whole family! This basic introduction focuses less on instruction and more on the experience of fly fishing, as well as aquatic ecology and conservation with many opportunities to sustainably catch and release trout along the river banks of our favorite local spots. Boots and waders are not provided as we focus solely on Czech nymphing from the river bank!
